Getting customers for any new business takes time. You must let people know not only that you are available and complete information about your services but also that you are reliable and reasonable.
The first step should be contacting friends and family. Everyone you know is or knows a potential customer, but only if they know you are in business.
Use email, facebook, twitter, letters, postcards, phone calls, whatever method works best for the person you are contacting. Don’t send out mass messages as people tend to ignore them. It takes much more time to personalize each message but you have a better chance of having it read. Spend some time getting the message out to everyone you know before you start advertising for customers. You may be pleasantly surprised by the amount of business generated by these efforts.
Create a web site of blog for your service and put the web address on everything you give out. Every business card, brochure, email, etc. should have your web address clearly marked. And your web site should clearly describe your service and include a cell phone number that you answer.
